Patients have always arrived with information from somewhere. The difference now is that chatbot answers are fluent, confident, and personalized. That can help or hinder the visit.

Curiosity first

Ask what they found and what worried them. Acknowledge what was right, correct what was not, and explain your reasoning. Patients who feel heard are far more likely to follow the plan.
